India absent on resolution against Russia

Since January this year, India has been absent from the UN Security Council, the General Assembly and the Human Rights Council on resolutions to condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Ambassador Indra Mani Pandey, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, told the session that India’s position on the Ukraine conflict has been firm and consistent.

resolve disputes through diplomacy

We are deeply concerned about the developments in Ukraine. We have consistently called for an immediate end to violence and an immediate end to hostilities. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated this in his interactions with global leaders, including the leadership of Russia and Ukraine. India believes that the only way is to follow the path of dialogue and diplomacy.

Worldwide inflation increased due to Ukraine crisis

According to PTI, Ambassador Pandey said that the impact of the situation in Ukraine is being felt beyond the region as oil prices are skyrocketing. There is a shortage of food grains and fertilizers in the world. This instability has burdened people around the world (especially in developing and less developed countries).
