- If I could not meet my friend, I tried to commit suicide.
A Russian woman has tried to kill herself by jumping from a hotel window in Multan, Pakistan. The woman had come to Pakistan to meet her friend, but when she could not meet her friend, she took this suicidal step.
According to Pakistan’s news channel Geo TV, this incident is of Monday. Police said that the name of the Russian woman is Karistina Merkulova. On December 30, Karistina came to Pakistan in search of a young man named Abdullah. Abdullah is said to be a resident of Shangla Hills of Nankana Sahib in Punjab province of Pakistan. According to reports, Abdullah and 30-year-old Kirstina lived together in Dubai. Abdullah left Karistina in Dubai and went to Pakistan.
According to Pakistan’s English newspaper ‘Dawn’, after coming to Pakistan, the woman wanted to take a room in a hotel in Gulgast Colony. But, since that hotel was not authorized to accommodate foreigners, Karistina could not find a place to stay there. The hotel manager informed the police, after which Karistina was accommodated in a center for women in Multan.
Two days later, the woman was allowed to stay in a hotel in the city. But the police barred him from leaving the city. The phone of Karistina Merkulova’s friend was also switched off and the two could not talk.
Police said that the woman did not have the necessary documents to travel to other areas of Pakistan. Being tensed by all these things, Karistina jumped from the window of her hotel room. The woman, however, did not suffer any serious injuries. As soon as her condition improved, she was sent to the Russian Embassy in Islamabad.
