Digital Desk, Beijing. At least 30 people were injured in a 5.5-magnitude earthquake that struck Ninglong County in China’s Yunnan province. Local officials gave this information on Tuesday.
According to the county government, all the injured are undergoing treatment and no one has been seriously injured. A total of 26,797 people have been affected by the quake in four cities, according to the Xinhua news agency report.
Power supply, transport and telecommunications services have been largely restored in the quake-hit areas. The epicenter of the quake was about 60 km from Ninglang county seat of Lijiang city and 110 km from Old Town of Lijiang.
According to the China Earthquake Networks Centre, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.
