New Delhi. Short video platform Tiktok has overtaken Google in terms of Most Popular Domain in 2021. Web security company Cloudflare has prepared a list after a year of data analysis. According to this, 9 big companies of the world including Google are behind Tik Tok. Google was the most popular domain after Facebook in 2020, while TikTok was ranked 7th during this period.
Last year in India, many Chinese apps including Tik Tok were banned citing security. After the ban of the government, Google has removed all the banned apps including Tik Tok from the Play Store. This app is also not available on Apple Store. Although still many people in India are able to access this app.

left behind many big companies
According to the report of Cloudflare, on 17 February 2021, Tiktok came on top for a day. Similarly, in March and May, Tik Tok continued to top for a few days for a few more days, but after August 10, 2021, Tiktok gained more. During this, there were only a few days when Google remained at number one. For most of the days of October and November, Tiktok remained at the top. These days also included days like Thanksgiving (November 25) and Black Friday (November 26). Websites ranked below Google in 2021 include Facebook, Microsoft, Apple and e-commerce website Amazon, respectively.

Whatsapp reached number 10
Most popular instant messaging service app Whatsapp has reached number 10 in this list, while Twitter is at number 9. At the same time, OTT platform Netflix and video sharing app Youtube remain number 7 and 8 in this list.

Tiktok still running in many big countries including America
Banned Tiktok in India first became most popular in the lockdown caused by Corona. During this time it had 1 billion monthly active users. America, Europe, Brazil and Southeast Asian countries are still the biggest markets for this short video app. Tik Tok is owned by China’s giant ByteDance Company. TikTok earlier this year appointed Shouji Chew, CFO of Singapore-based ByteDance, as the company’s new chief executive officer.
