The COVID-19 pandemic has made us all shift to digital payments as they are faster, contactless and easier. There are many ways to make digital payments, but one of the most used methods in India is UPI (Unified Payment Interface). There are many platforms that can be used to make UPI based payments such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and others. Instant messaging app WhatsApp is also present in this list along with WhatsApp Pay.
WhatsApp Pay was launched in India in 2018 as a part of a trial run and after receiving approval from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the service was officially launched for all in 2020. It offers real time payment system with more than 227 banks and is live for all the users across the country. Apart from payments, WhatsApp also provides you with the facilities provided by other UPI based payment apps including checking account balance and changing UPI PIN. Steps to change UPI PIN from WhatsApp:
step 1. Open WhatsApp app on your Android smartphone.
Step 2. If you have an Android smartphone, tap the three-dots icon in the top right and tap Payments. If you have an iOS smartphone, you can find the Payments section by tapping on Settings in the lower-right corner of the screen.

Step 3. Under the Payment section, tap on the bank account for which you want to change the UPI PIN.

Step 4. Tap on Change UPI PIN option.
Step 5. Now enter your existing UPI PIN and in the second box enter the new UPI PIN that you want.
Step 6. Confirm your new UPI PIN.
