Blackberry was known for its encryption based security. In such a situation, it was the favorite favorite smartphone of high profile users. But with the passage of time, more than one Android smartphone knocked in the market. Due to which the craze of Blackberry smartphones with keypad has decreased. BlackBerry’s QWERTY keypad—the BlackBerry OS phone—was discontinued, but the device still had software support. But, starting in 2022, BlackBerry will end support for its smartphones.
These Blackberry phones will not work from January 4
Blackberry has officially announced that it is going to stop support for all classic Blackberry OS and Blackberry 10 powered smartphones. According to the company’s statement, from January 4, 2022 i.e. tomorrow, BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 based smartphones will stop working. In such a situation, services like calls, cellular data, SMS and emergency calls will be stopped on Blackberry phones from January 4, 2022. However, Android-based Blackberry smartphones will continue to run as before.
Blackberry phones will not work from January 4
Support for BlackBerry 7.1 operating system and earlier BlackBerry software will not be available from January 4, 2022. In February 2020, TCL announced that BlackBerry would not produce the phone. BlackBerry KEY2 LE is the company’s last launched smartphone. The company has advised BlackBerry smartphone users to back up their data.
