Vaccination Of 15-18 Year Olds, Booster Dose For Frontline Workers: Highlights Of PM Modi’s Speech

Addressing the nation today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed concern about the new variant of Kovid, Omicron. In his sudden address to the nation tonight, PM Modi reiterated the need to exercise extreme caution with Corona as people prepare to welcome the new year amid rising cases of the highly contagious Omicron variant. The Prime Minister has announced to start vaccination for children aged 15 to 18 from January 3. Also, a booster dose will be given to healthcare and frontline workers from January 10. This precaution dose will also be given to the elderly who are above 60 years of age and suffering from serious diseases.

Highlights of PM Modi’s address

  1. From the point of view of Precaution, the Government has decided that Precaution Dose of Vaccine will also be started for Healthcare and Frontline Workers. It will be started in 2022, on January 10, Monday. We all have experience that those who are corona warriors, healthcare and frontline workers, they have a huge contribution in keeping the country safe in this fight. Even today, he spends a lot of his time in the service of the patients of Corona.

  2. For citizens with co-morbidities above the age of 60 years, the option of Precaution Dose of the vaccine will also be available to them on the advice of the doctor. This too will be available from January 10.

  3. In India too, many people have been found to be infected with Omicron. I would urge all of you not to panic, be careful and alert. Remember these things to wash the mask and hands after a while. The experience of fighting the corona global epidemic so far shows that following all the guidelines at the individual level is a great weapon to combat corona. And the second weapon is vaccination

  4. India started giving the vaccine to its citizens from January 16 this year. It is the collective effort and collective will of all the citizens of the country that today India has crossed the unprecedented and very difficult target of 141 crore vaccine doses. Today, more than 61 percent of India’s adult population has received both doses of the vaccine. Similarly, about 90 percent of the adult population has been given a single dose of the vaccine.

  5. Today every Indian will be proud that we conducted such a safe vaccination campaign in the world’s largest, most expansive and difficult geographical conditions. Many states and especially tourism important states like Goa, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh have achieved the target of 100% single dose vaccination.
