New Delhi: Prime minister Narendra Modi On Saturday released the first installment of 2022 to the farmers of the states under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Due to this, 2,33,85,266 farmers of Uttar Pradesh have got benefit of Rs 47,80,18,82,000. The scheme envisages Rs.6,000 in three installments of Rs.2,000 per farmer. This was the 10th installment since the launch of the scheme.
under the scheme Maharashtra A total of 1,03,84,298 farmers got Rs 21,37,19,60,000, followed by 83,43,390 farmers of Madhya Pradesh got Rs 16,89,21,18,000. 81,23,446 farmers of Bihar got Rs 16,71,68,06,000 and 70,25,125 farmers of Rajasthan got Rs 14,65,40,18,000.
There are also 11,842 beneficiaries in smaller states like Delhi, who received Rs 2,37,62,000 and the Union Territory of Puducherry (Rs 2,03,70,000 to 10,142 farmers), Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu to 8,279 farmers (Rs 1,97). ,34,000 and Chandigarh’s 379 farmers got Rs.770,000.
Earlier in the day, a government statement claimed that the release of funds to farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme was “in line with the continued commitment and resolve to empower the grassroots farmers”.
During the virtual event, the Prime Minister also released equity grant of over Rs 14 crore to about 351 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), which would benefit more than 1.24 lakh farmers.
