In Maharashtra, 1485 cases were reported in the last 24 hours on Saturday. Whereas 12 patients died due to corona. in Mumbai and Maharashtra Omicron Case (Maharashtra Omicron) has also grown very fast. Maharashtra has the highest number of Omicron patients in the country. While Delhi is at number two and Karnataka is at number three.

The maximum number of cases of corona have been registered in Mumbai in the last seven months. Earlier on June 4, 973 Kovid cases were registered in Mumbai. This is the highest number of cases after 202 days. In the last 24 hours, 2 patients have also died in Mumbai. The number of active cases i.e. active patients in Mumbai has reached 4295. While 34,819 tests have been done during the last 24 hours. Whereas there is a positivity rate of 2.64 percent.

This increase in the cases of corona in Mumbai has been seen at a time when, despite strict restrictions on Christmas and New Year, huge crowds were seen at public places like Juhu Chowpatty. During this, many people were seen without masks.

In view of the increasing cases of corona in Mumbai, strictness has been done in public institutions like hotels-restaurants, bar-clubs late at night. Gyms and cinemas will operate at 50 percent capacity. Under the new rules, indoor weddings can be attended by a maximum of 100 people, while for outdoor weddings, a maximum of 250 people or 25% of the total capacity (whichever is less). Gyms, spas, hotels, theaters and cinema halls will be able to operate at 50 percent capacity. Whereas only 25% will be allowed in sports events.
