Ludhiana Blast: The man killed in Thursday’s blast in Ludhiana’s district court complex has been identified as sacked constable Gagandeep Singh. Gagandeep was a resident of Teg Bahadur Nagar in Khanna and has been in jail in 2019 in the case of NDPS. Gagandeep’s case was going on in Ludhiana court. On August 11, 2019, a case was registered against Gagandeep in the STF police station. Gagandeep was released from jail on bail a few days back. At the same time, the police is investigating after reaching Gagandeep’s house.
Let us inform that there was a blast in the premises of Ludhiana District Court on Thursday. One was killed, while several people were injured in this blast in the court premises. The blast took place in the washroom on the second floor in the premises of Ludhiana District Court. There was a record room along with the bathroom. Ludhiana Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that one person died and some people were injured in this incident. The sound of the explosion was heard near the record room on the second floor of the Ludhiana court complex.
The central government is taking this incident seriously. The Union Home Secretary held a high-level meeting on Friday. This meeting was about internal security, in which the blast in Ludhiana court was discussed. At the same time, Home Minister Amit Shah also held a meeting on this issue. He has taken complete information from the DG of Punjab Police. Officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs were also present in this meeting.
After the blast, a criminal case has been registered in police station division number five. This case has been registered on the statement of Court Complex Outpost Incharge ASI Sukhpal Singh. On behalf of the police, a case has been registered under sections 307, 302 of IPC and Explosive Act.
