In Maharashtra, 40,925 people have been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus on Friday. This number is 4,660 more than yesterday. According to the Health Department, 20 people have died due to infection in the state. Half of the new cases of infection that came on Friday have come in Mumbai alone. The good thing is that none of the new patients has been confirmed to be infected with the Omicron form. With the arrival of new cases, a total of 68,34,222 people have been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus in the state so far, while a total of 1,41,614 people have died due to the epidemic.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), a record 20,927 new cases of infection have been reported in Mumbai on Friday, while six people have died due to infection. Today 790 new cases have come as compared to Thursday. So far, a total of 8,74,780 people have been infected with the corona virus in Mumbai while 16,394 people have died due to the infection. 150 new cases have come to the Dharavi area of Mumbai. At the same time, 183 new cases have come in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. Currently 527 patients of Kovid are undergoing treatment in the district. Till Friday, a total of 1,50,470 people have been confirmed infected in the district.
1,319 new cases of corona virus in Madhya Pradesh, one death
In Madhya Pradesh, the number of infected people increased to 7,97,715 due to the arrival of 1,319 new cases of corona virus infection on Friday. A health department official said that in the last 24 hours, a total of 10,536 people have lost their lives due to the disease in the state.

Kovid-19: 8,981 new cases were reported in Tamil Nadu, 8 patients died
With the arrival of 8,981 new cases of Kovid-19 in Tamil Nadu on Friday, the number of people infected with the corona virus in the state has so far increased to 27,76,413. According to the Health Department, eight people have died due to the infection.
169 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Agra

Drug maker Lupine said on Friday that it has introduced antiviral drug Molnupiravir under the brand name Molnulup in the country for the treatment of Kovid-19. India has been granted emergency use authorization by the Drugs General of India (DCGI) to Molnupiravir for the treatment of adult COVID-19 patients who are at high risk of disease progression, including hospitalisation.
