On Wednesday, 6,883 new cases of corona virus infection were registered in Haryana while three more Kovid patients died. This information was given in the daily bulletin of the Health Department. The number of active cases in the state has crossed 31,000. With the death of one Covid patient each in Gurugram, Ambala and Bhiwani districts, the total death toll due to the pandemic in the state has risen to 10,083 so far.

With the new cases, the total number of people infected with corona in the state has increased to 8,12,516. The worst-affected Gurugram district received 2,704 new cases on Wednesday, while Faridabad (1,037), Karnal (372), Sonipat (252), Panchkula (734), Ambala (444), Rohtak (133), Hisar (154), Panipat (223), Yamunanagar (112) and Jhajjar (141) districts also registered an increase in Kovid cases.

According to the bulletin, seven new cases of infection with the Omicron type of virus have been registered in the state. The number of people infected with Omicron in the state has risen to 169, out of which 10 are undergoing treatment, while the rest have been discharged. The number of active cases in the state increased to 31,150 from 26,813 on Tuesday, while the number of cured people now stands at 7,71,260.
