Srinagar: Security forces on Thursday arrested two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Giving information about this, a police spokesman said, “Acting on the basis of confidential information, police, army and CRPF arrested two terrorists belonging to banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba from Magam area of ​​Budgam.” The arrested terrorists have been identified as Mohammad Shafi Ganai and Zahoor Ahmed Chopan, the spokesman said.

‘FIR registered in the matter’

Police said that during investigation it was found that the arrested accused were in touch with the LeT commanders and were providing them shelter and transport facilities. An FIR has been registered in this regard and further investigation is on, the spokesperson said. Let us inform that earlier on Wednesday, in two separate incidents in the Kashmir Valley, terrorists shot dead a civilian while a policeman was injured in the attack. Militants shot dead a civilian in Nawakadal in Srinagar while an assistant sub-inspector of police was injured in an attack in Bijbehara area of ​​South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Terrorist incidents happened on Wednesday
A police official said, “At around 5.55 pm, terrorists shot a man named Rauf Ahmed near his house in Nawakadal area of ​​Srinagar, in which he was seriously injured. He was brought here to SMHS Hospital, where he died. In the incident that took place shortly after the incident, the terrorists shot Police ASI Mohammad Ashraf outside Bijbehara Hospital, injuring him, the official said. The ASI was taken to the same hospital from where he was shifted to a health center in Srinagar.
