In winter I like to eat something spicy. In such a situation, most people eat by making pakodas or kachoris, but if you want to try a different recipe apart from pakodas or kachoris, then you can make special street style aloo tikki on the new year. This tikki is very tasty to eat, as well as it takes very less time to make. Come, know the recipe of spicy aloo tikki-
Ingredients for making Aloo Tikki-
1 cup boiled peeled potatoes.
cup boiled peas
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp green coriander leaves
tsp red chili powder
salt to taste
and oil for frying
How to make Aloo Tikki –
First of all, peel the potatoes and mash them well and make piti.
Now put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Now divide this whole potato masala into 6 parts and make it round. Press it with your hand to give it a little tikki-like shape.
Heat a non-stick pan or tava (griddle), apply ghee and roast the tikkis on a medium flame till they turn golden brown in color from both the sides.
Now take out the hot tikkis when they become crispy and serve with green chutney or sauce.
