UPSC Success Story: Cracking the UPSC exam is a big challenge, but IAS Garima Agarwal faced this challenge and became an IPS first and then fulfilled the dream of becoming an IAS officer in the next attempt. His UPSC journey is an inspiration to lakhs of youth.
Garima Agarwal is a 2019 batch IAS officer. She is originally from Khargone in Madhya Pradesh. Meritorious in studies from the beginning, Garima did her schooling from Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Khargone and secured 92 per cent marks in class 10th. After this he got 89 percent marks in 12th.
After 12th, Garima did engineering from IIT Hyderabad and went on to do internship in Germany. But instead of serving abroad, he chose his country and came to India and started preparing for UPSC.
In her first attempt in the year 2017, she secured 240th rank in the UPSC exam and became an IPS officer. Despite this, she continued her studies and re-examed in the year 2019 and secured 40th rank in this second attempt and became an IAS officer.
Garima says that it is very important to have patience in UPSC preparation. In such a situation, keep with those people who keep you positive.
