BPSSC Bihar Police SI Recruitment: The way has been cleared for the recruitment of 2446 Inspector in Bihar Police. Patna High Court on Tuesday, while dismissing the application of the petitioner candidates on the matter, has given freedom to the successful candidates to file a fresh application by forming a party.

Earlier, the Patna High Court had heard the matter of restoration of 2446 inspectors on 1 December 2021. Advocate Ritika Rani, on behalf of the applicants, had told the court that the merit list had come on August 1, 2021 for the restoration of 2446 inspectors. It contained the names of 268 applicants. At that time the cut off marks was 75.8. After that a list was issued. The cut off was kept as 75, but in this list, the names of 268 applicants were not in the list of successful. These candidates were included in the list of successful at the cutoff of 75.8, but when the cut off was 75, they were not included in the successful ones.

The writ filed by Sudhir Kumar Gupta and others was heard by a single bench of Justice PB Baijanthi on December 1. The counsel for the applicant said that the inspector has not been reinstated yet. The counsel for the commission said that the commission has reinstated the inspector. After hearing the arguments of both the sides, the court said that if there is no restoration, then there will be no reinstatement on this post. The court had ordered the government and the commission to file counter-affidavits.
