When Smriti Irani used to get attention for Tulsi Sakshi Tanwar who became Parvati said I am used to it

In the year 2005, Sakshi and Smriti were seen together in Koffee with Karan. During that time Sakshi was asked a question about the popularity of Smriti’s character Tulsi. In response to which Sakshi said ‘I have become used to it’.

Actress Sakshi Tanwar has made her mark with the TV serial ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’. In this serial, she played the character of Priya, which was well-liked by the audience. Before this serial, Sakshi Tanwar was seen in Star Plus’s most popular TV serial ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’. Sakshi Tanwar was seen in the role of Parvati in ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’.

It is worth noting that at that time, apart from the TV show ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’, there was another show, which was very much liked by the audience. This show was ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, in which the main character of Tulsi was played by Smriti Irani. Both these serials had created a different image of the daughter-in-law in the TV world. At that time, Parvati of ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’ and Tulsi of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ both used to be primetime daughters-in-law.

Sakshi Tanwar was not keen on playing the role of Parvati in ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’. He also felt that this character is really good, yet he had refused Ekta Kapoor for this role thrice. But on repeated requests from Ekta Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar finally said yes to play the role of Parvati. This was revealed by Sakshi herself in Koffee with Karan.

Let me tell you, even at that time, TV serials often had a face-to-face in TRP and during this time the role of Smriti Irani, Tulsi, used to be in limelight more than Parvati’s role of Sakshi Tanwar. In 2005, Sakshi Tanwar and Smriti Irani were seen together in Koffee with Karan. During that time, Karan Johar asked Sakshi about her constant competition from Tulsi in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and the attention Smriti is getting. To which Sakshi gave the answer in a very good way.

Sakshi Tanwar replied saying ‘You are watching it from above but I am looking at it from below’. I still feel that I am a lot better than many actors who have wanted to be in my shoes till now. It’s ok, now I’m used to it.

After this, when Sakshi was asked which of the two serials was better. During that time Sakshi had defended her show saying that ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’ as all its characters were too human.

At the same time, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’ ended in the year 2008. After this, Sakshi Tanwar was seen in the role of Priya in the TV show ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ opposite Ram Kapoor. Apart from this, Sakshi has also been seen playing the role of Aamir Khan’s wife in the film ‘Dangal’.
