Khesari Lal Yadav himself used to put up posters of his songs: Recently Bhojpuri star Khesari Lal Yadav’s film, ‘Litti Chokha’ has been released which is being liked by the fans. The story of the film shows the life of a farmer. According to media reports, Khesari Lal Yadav was inspired to make this film during the farmers’ movement. At the same time, during the promotion of this film, Khesari Lal Yadav also remembered the days of his struggle. In a recent interview, Khesari Lal Yadav said, ‘I worked as a servant of Guddu Rangeela’s house for 3 months. He needed a bread maker because his servant had run away. I also used to sweep and mop at his place and also used to make roti.
Khesari Lal Yadal further told that, ‘With great difficulty he had deposited 12 thousand rupees and released his first song. However, this song was a flop. It was only after it flopped that he started working at Guddu Rangeela’s house, after which he again deposited the money and made another song which ran a bit. Then the company started investing money in my songs, but I did not get money for my own songs.
Khesari further said, ‘At that time I had only one job, to buy a cassette of the song for 12-12 thousand rupees and paste its poster in every shop. There would hardly be any corner left where my posters would not have been put up. I had to hear the abuses of mother and sister at many places. Many people used to tear my posters in front of me.
