Yezdi returns to India after 26 years; 3 motorcycles launched in India

Yezdi has launched the Adventure, Scrambler and Roadster motorcycles in India. This new range of Yezdi motorcycles will be available across the dealership network of Classic Legends, which already retails Jawa motorcycles in India. Apart from this, you can book these motorcycles online by visiting the company’s website with a booking amount of only Rs 5,000. The Yezdi Roadster, Scrambler and Adventure motorcycles will take on Royal Enfield, KTM and Honda in India.

Price

Packed with modern technology and retro styling, the new generation of Yezdi motorcycles is powered by a liquid-cooled, fuel injected, DOHC single cylinder engine. Prices of the Adventure range start at Rs 2,09,900, Scrambler range at Rs 2,04,900 and Roadster range at Rs 1,98,142 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Yezdi Roadster

Yezdi’s cruiser bike looks great with the Roadster Neo-retro design styling. It comes with round LED headlights, taillights and dual exhaust. Rider console is LCD panel. It gives all the necessary information like tripmeter, petrol, timing, ABS mode and gear key. Yezdi has used the same 334cc engine that is used in Jawa motorcycles. The single cylinder liquid cooled unit on the roadster is capable of producing 29.7 PS of output and 29 Nm of peak torque. Transmission is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension work is done by telescopic front forks and gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers with preload adjusters. Yezdi Roadster is offered in five color options. These include Roadster Dark Smoke Grey, Steel Blue and Hunter Green, apart from Roadster Chrome Gallant Gray and Sin Silver.

Yezdi Scrambler

Yezdi’s second bike is the Scrambler. It is slightly ahead of the roadster in terms of features and specifications. It comes with LED headlights, taillights apart from turn indicators, clear lens and round shape LCD digital display. It also gets handlebar-mounted USB and Type C charging points. The 334cc single cylinder 4 stroke liquid cooled DOHC unit has also been used for the Yezdi Scrambler. The bike generates 29.1 PS of top power and 28.2 Nm of peak torque. Its suspension is similar to what the roadster has to offer. Yezdi Scrambler comes in 6 color options. These include Fire Orange, Yelling Yellow, Outlaw Olive, Rebel Red, Mean Green and Midnight Blue.

Yezdi Adventure

Yezdi is the third in the lineup. It comes with more features options than the first 2 models. It gets LED headlight unit, LCD digital display. The bike also gets turn-by-turn navigation as standard features. Yezdi Adventure can also be paired with the brand’s app via Bluetooth. The app comes with a variety of features including search and destination locator, relay turn-by-turn navigation on the display or relay navigation commentary on the intercom, speed of the motorcycle. The app also provides alerts and information such as incoming calls and messages, missed calls, signal and battery. The Yezdi Adventure is powered by a 334cc single cylinder 4-stroke liquid-cooled DOHC engine mated to a six-speed gearbox that churns out top power of 30.2 PS and peak torque of 29.9 Nm.

Yezdi is the third brand brought back to the Indian market by Classic Legends, a Mahindra Group company. Earlier, Classic Legends revived the Jawa and BSA motorcycle brands. Yezdi makes a comeback in India after 26 years with these three motorcycles. First launched in India in 1961, the brand gained popularity with its products such as the Roadking, Monarch and Deluxe models. After this the company stopped the production of its bike in 1996.
