New Delhi: Kia Motor India has started booking the upcoming Karens MPV from January 14 and now the company has said that its prices will be announced in February 2022. Coming to India next month, this car has started getting strong customer response and in just 24 hours of booking, around 8,000 people have booked it. The estimated price of this MPV coming in 6 and 7-seater arrangement is Rs 16-18 lakh. In order to make Kia Carens a cost-effective vehicle according to the competition, the company has given a lot of features with it.
Turbo-Petrol Engine, DCT with Paddle Shifters
The strongest of the three engine options available with the Kia Carens is the 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that makes 140 horsepower and is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox mated to a 6-speed manual. Its DCT variant comes with paddle shifters. In comparison, this feature is available only in the diesel variants of Mahindra Marazzo, while the petrol variants of Ertiga and XL6 come with paddle shifters. While almost all three-row cars are offered with a panoramic sunroof as of today, Kia has offered a single-pane sunroof with the Cairns.

6 airbags with carrier
The cabin gets two digital displays which include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, apart from connected car features as well. Here comes the second number 12.5-inch LCD digital cluster which is probably the largest in size. Passengers will get a lot of space in the cabin of the MPV. 6 airbags, hill start assist, hill hold assist, TPMS and disc brakes are going to be available on all four wheels with the carence. Please note that 6 airbags are not available with any other vehicle in this class.
