New Delhi: The Tata Safari is going to be the latest model in the company’s car line-up, which will be given a dark edition. Like all other dark editions, the Tata Safari will also be offered with a host of cosmetic changes to the interior and exterior. The SUV will get all-black interiors and exteriors and the Safari Dark Edition will launch in India on January 17. Talking about the changes, it will get Dark Edition Altroz, Naxon, Naxon EV and Harrier finish.
The 18-inch alloy wheels of the SUV will also be painted black
With the Safari Dark Edition, Tata Motors will likely offer a gloss black paint shade with grille, headlight surround and window surround in gloss black accents as compared to the chrome found on the standard model. Even the 18-inch alloy wheels of the SUV will be painted black. If any chrome is found on the Safari Dark Edition, then it will be on its Tata and Dark Edition badges.
8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Coming to the interiors, the XZ and XZ+ variants of the three row SUV will likely get a dark edition under the all-black theme. With this, many features will be given. These include an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger, JBL audio system, 7.0-inch part digital instrument cluster, panoramic and leatherette seat upholstery.

Compete with Mahindra XUV700 MG Hector+ and Hyundai Alcazar
The new Tata Safari gets a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that makes 170 horsepower. It is very unlikely that the company will make any technical changes in Safari Dark Edition. The company has given the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox to the engine of the SUV. Tata Safari Dark Edition will compete with Mahindra XUV700 with cars like MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
