Save lakhs of rupees by converting petrol-diesel car to electric this way; very low cost

New Delhi. Petrol and diesel prices in the country have reached the sky. That’s why people are now turning to economical fuel vehicles. In such a situation, people are preferring to buy electric cars instead of petrol-diesel. However, people who already have a car can also convert their car into an electric car. Although, the cost of electric kit is very high, but you can easily save lakhs of rupees in future by spending one rupee. Because the cost and maintenance of running an electric vehicle is very less.

Well, there are companies that can convert your fuel car into an electric car at a cost of Rs 4 to 5 lakhs. The cost involved largely depends on the capacity of the motor and the battery capacity. Most of the companies involved in converting fuel car to electric car are in Hyderabad. Among these, Etrio and Northwayms are prominent. Both these companies convert any petrol or diesel car into an electric car. Apart from this, there are many such companies in Delhi, which work to convert fuel vehicles into electric vehicles. You can convert WagonR, Alto, Dzire, i10, Spark or any other petrol or diesel car to electric. The electric kit used in cars is almost the same. However, there may be a difference between the battery and the motor to increase the range and power.

It costs a lot to run on petrol and diesel
Talking about the cost of running the car after converting, you will see a lot of difference in it. Take for instance the Tata Nexon, which runs on petrol, diesel and electric as well. The electric version of the Nexon was introduced in December 2019. The fuel version of the Nexon gives a mileage of 16 to 22 kms in petrol and diesel. Considering the petrol price is ₹ 100 per liter and mileage is 16 kmpl, the car will cost around 6.25 paise per kilometer. With diesel ₹95 liter and mileage 22 kmpl, the cost comes out to ₹4.31 per kilometer.

Now with the electric version of the Nexon, if we consider Rs.6,/unit as the cost of electricity, it will cost ₹181.2 to fully charge it. Then it will run for about 300 km. In this way, its price will be around 60 paise per kilometer. In this way, you will be able to save equal to the cost of installing an electric kit in two or three years.
