Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Okinawa Autotech (Okinawa Autotech) has crossed the one lakh domestic sales mark of its electric vehicles in the country. The company has announced this by issuing a statement. The company sells high speed and low speed electric vehicles in India. The brand’s locally manufactured iPraise+ and Praise Pro play a significant role in the domestic sales of the brand. Both these models have been well liked by the customers. Both these models account for about 60 to 70 percent of the company’s annual sales for 2021.

Features of Okinawa i-Praise Pro

The specialty of the Okinawa i-Praise Pro electric scooter is that it has a detachable 2.0kwh lithium battery, which can be easily removed and charged anywhere. A 5 amp charger is provided with the scooter’s battery. It takes two to three hours to charge its battery. On a single charge, this scooter can cover a distance of up to 88 km. Its top speed is 58 kilometers per hour.

The scooter is equipped with E-ABS (Electronically-Assisted Braking System). Okinawa has also developed a special app for the scooter. The Okinawa Echo app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. The price of Okinawa Praise Pro electric scooter is Rs 79,845 ex-showroom.

Features of Okinawa iPraise+

Similarly, the Okinawa iPraise+ is a more powerful electric scooter. In which a 3.3 kWh lithium-ion battery has been given. It takes 4 to 5 hours to charge it. The top speed of the scooter is 58 kmph. It covers a distance of up to 139 km on a full charge. Its price is Rs 1.05 lakh ex-showroom.

Advanced Features

Features like Geo Fencing, Virtual Speed ​​Limit, Curfew Hours, Battery Health Tracker, SOS Notifications, Monitoring, Trips, Directions, Maintenance and Vehicle Status are provided in the app. Through geo fencing, users can set a range of 50 meters to 10 km, and as soon as the vehicle crosses this limit, alerts will start coming on the mobile. Speed ​​alerts will start coming through virtual speed limit.

To meet the growing demand for its e-scooters, Okinawa Autotech has expanded to over 400 dealerships to cater to the needs of metro cities as well as Tier 2, Tier 3 and rural markets. The company has also launched the Okinawa Galaxy Expression Center in Uttarakhand, where customers can experience the products and the story behind its creation. It plans to open 50 more Galaxy stores across India in the coming year.

Okinawa is the first and only electric two-wheeler manufacturer to have its own assembly line for motors and controls. With this, its localization will become almost 100 per cent excluding battery cells, which will continue to be imported. Okinawa is all set to launch its new high speed scooter in the first quarter of next year. Okinawa plans to invest a total of Rs 500 crore over the next three years. In the first phase, an investment of Rs 250 crore will be made in the first year and will be increased gradually in the coming years.
