Mahindra is planning to discontinue the old model with the launch of the new Scorpio. The new generation Mahindra Scorpio is to be launched in the middle of 2022. The new update in this is that the front and side profiles of the new model have been spotted during testing. The front fenders, grille, bumper, side lower were covered in a thick cloth, as reported by India Car News. The back profile is not visible though.

Mahindra Scorpio facelift likely to see some changes in cabin
The 2022 Scorpio facelift is expected to get a new radiator grille. The car is also likely to get new badging as well as new black plastic cladding all over the body. It is also rumored that the current Scorpio could be launched as a commercial vehicle. Some changes are likely to happen in the cabin of the Mahindra Scorpio facelift. However, the details are yet to be disclosed. The company can also remove some features to reduce the price. This SUV can be offered in multiple seating options.

Next generation Scorpio expected to be priced higher than the current model
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio facelift will be powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that makes 120bhp/280Nm and 140bhp/319Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Scorpio currently in the market is available in the price range of Rs 12.77 lakh to Rs 17.62 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). But the price of the next generation Scorpio is expected to be higher than the current model.
