Mahindra XUV700 becomes expensive

Mahindra & Mahindra has once again increased the prices of Mahindra XUV700. The company launched it in August last year, but its prices were revealed in September. Then the company had kept the price of its initial model at Rs 12.49 lakh. Since then, its price has increased from Rs 46,000 to Rs 81,000 depending on the variant.

Mahindra XUV700 comes in both petrol and diesel engine options. The launch price of its base model XUV700 MX Petrol was Rs 12.49 lakh, now it is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 12.95 lakh. In this way, the price of this variant has increased by Rs 46,000.

Similarly, the price of petrol engine AX3 has increased by Rs 54,000 to Rs 15.02 lakh, AX5 by Rs 56,000 to Rs 16.05 lakh, AX3 AT by Rs 58,000 to Rs 16.57 lakh. The highest price of AX7 AT L 7-Seater has increased in petrol engine by Rs 75,000. Now it is getting Rs 22.04 lakh.

At the same time, the MX variant in the diesel engine has now increased by Rs 48,000 to Rs 13.47 lakh. While its launch price was Rs 12.99 lakh. Similarly, AX3 will now cost Rs 55,000, AX5 will now cost Rs 59,000, AX3 AT will now cost Rs 60,000 more. Their price will be Rs 15.54 lakh, 16.67 lakh and Rs 17.29 lakh respectively.

The highest price hike is for the AX7 AT AWD 7-seater with the diesel engine. It has become costlier by Rs 81,000 to Rs 23.80 lakh, while its launch price was Rs 22.99 lakh.

Mahindra XUV700 has received tremendous response in the market. The company has received bookings for more than 70,000 vehicles. However, due to the chip crisis, the company is facing problems in its delivery. The waiting period for some of its models is 71 weeks i.e. up to 1.5 years.
