New Delhi: BMW India has launched the iX electric SUV in India a few days back, entering the electric market of the country. Now the company has officially revealed the range of this car and on a single charge, it can be driven up to 521 km. The ex-showroom price of BMW iX has been kept at Rs 1.16 crore, this luxury electric car is going to compete with cars like Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Jaguar in our market. These companies also sell fully electric SUVs in India. The new BMW iX is also being sold completely imported in the country, on the lines of other competing cars. The new e-SUV will compete with the Mercedes EQC, Audi e-tron and Jaguar I-Pace in the market.

BMW has introduced the new electric SUV iX in only 1 variant xDrive40 and it will start getting to the customers from April 2022. The 2021 BMW iX is built on a brand new architecture that uses an aluminum space-frame. Euro NCAP has given this electric SUV a full 5-star rating for safety. Talking about the looks, the new car is built on the signature design language, but it has been styled according to the EV which is quite modern. The car has been given the signature kidney grille design, intelligent driver assistance system with radar, cameras and sensors.

111.7 KW-R Battery Pack
With the all-new BMW iX, the brand’s fifth generation fully electric powertrain has been given with electric motors on both the axles of the SUV. The car is powered by an 111.7 kW-R battery pack that generates 240 kW, which makes a total power of 326 Bhp and 630 Nm of peak torque. The SUV can be driven up to 521 km on a single charge. The cabin of the car has been very luxury and it has got rocket switch for changing gears. It also gets split screens and a touchscreen infotainment system. This car accelerates from 0-100 km / h in just 6 seconds, while the company has claimed its top speed to be 200 km / h.
