Fans of this electric scooter, runs 139KM, company sales cross 1 lakh

India’s electric two-wheeler company Okinawa Autotech has set a new record. The company has crossed the sales mark of more than 1 lakh electric two wheelers in a year. The company has announced this through a press release on Tuesday. Okinawa sells high-speed and low-speed electric vehicles in the domestic market. Okinawa said that the customers have liked the iPraise+ and Praise Pro electric scooters the most. The share of these scooters in the total sales of 2021 has been 60 to 70 percent.

The price of Okinawa Praise Pro electric scooter is Rs 79,845 ex-showroom. It offers a range of up to 88 km on a full charge. It has a 2.0kWh lithium-ion battery, which takes 2 to 3 hours to charge. The top speed of the scooter is 58 kmph. Similarly, the Okinawa iPraise+ is a more powerful electric scooter priced at Rs 1.05 lakh ex-showroom.

It offers a range of up to 139 km on a full charge. It has a 3.3 kWh lithium-ion battery, which takes 4 to 5 hours to charge. The top speed of the scooter is 58 kmph. Okinawa is the first and only electric two-wheeler manufacturer to have its own assembly line for motors and controls. Okinawa is set to launch its new high-speed scooter in the first quarter of next year.

Growing dealerships
To meet the growing demand for its scooters, Okinawa is continuously expanding its dealerships. The company has expanded dealerships in metro cities as well as in Tier 2, Tier 3 and rural markets of India. In November, the company launched a new experience center Okinawa Galaxy in Uttarakhand. At Okinawa Galaxy, customers get to experience the product and understand its manufacturing story. It plans to open 50 more Galaxy stores across India in the coming year.
