BH Series: Government has released Bharat Series, now you will be able to drive your car in any city, know how to apply

Many a times people have to move from one city to another due to their job transfer. In such a situation, the biggest problem is related to the registration of the vehicle. On changing the city, your vehicle has to be registered in the same city in which you want to drive that vehicle. But for this a lot of papads have to be rolled. To avoid this problem, the government has introduced Bharat Series for new vehicles. Under this, the registration of new vehicles will now be valid across India. Also, now with the registration number of this series, the vehicle can be driven unhindered in any corner of the country. Road and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has given this information while giving a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha. He said that a new registration mark Bharat Series has been introduced for new vehicles. Let us know how and who will get the benefit of it.

who will get the benefit

  • In a written reply about its benefits, Gadkari said that this new series will be made available on a voluntary basis. Employees of Central Government, State Government, Defense employees, employees of Central and State Government companies, apart from employees of such private sector companies whose offices are present in four or more states, only they will get the benefit of Bharat Series.
  • You will also have to pay road tax for two years while taking the Bharat Series. Thereafter, road tax will be paid every two years. At the same time, tax will be levied every year after 14 years from the date of its registration. However, there will be some reduction in its rate. For example, vehicles costing less than Rs 10 lakh will attract a tax of eight per cent. Whereas vehicles costing Rs 10 to 20 lakh will attract a tax of 10 percent. Also, vehicles above Rs 20 lakh will attract a tax of 12 percent.
  • If you also want to take advantage of this, then you can apply for new registration with your ID issued by the office under the above mentioned qualifications. You can also apply by visiting the vahan portal of the Ministry of Roads and Highways.
  • Apart from this, you can also apply for the Bharat Series through the dealer. For this the dealer will have to fill Form 20 on your behalf. Also, private sector employees will have to fill Form 60. In this, they will have to submit some identity cards etc. related to employment.
